APRIL 2016 MEETING
Message from our RO
Our April meet will be a run to the Burghley House TVR National Event (B H P) which happens on Sunday 10th April.
I suggest for those located in the West of the region who find it convenient, we meet at Hilton Park Services (South Bound) situated between junctions 11 and 10 on the M6.Collection time as near to 8.00 a.m. in time for a coffee before leaving at 8.30 a.m. prompt. If you are able to let me know before hand who to expect at the Hilton Services it will help. Others who are not sure, if you decide at the last minute try to get there earlyish.
Previous visits have shown this rout to the BHP to be uncomplicated, not the most picturesque but it is time efficient. The route is along the M6, A14 and A43 to Stamford. Travel time is approx. 2 hours.
Please note that the post code for the location is PE9 3JY. The A43 junctions on Stamford High Street, which is a "T" junction. Turn left and then travel a short distance before turning right onto Barnack Road (B1443). Our entrance is off Barnack Road and I am told it will be well sign posted as on previous occasions. No prior booking, turn up in a TVR and the cost is a fiver paid to the stewards prior to parking.
Members located in other than the West of the region deciding to join in on the route may want to know where we are, the telephone link will help that (subject to signal). It will also be useful but not essential, to know if members are intending to join in on route and where.
The parking at BHP is random so the advantage of arriving to-gether is that we park to-gether. If this is not convenient for you then providing there is no wind, either Steve (Wedge) or my-self (Chim) will be flying the S&S TVR flag.
Those not having been before, there are trade stalls and a local produce market, Su takes a cooler box for the excellent fish cakes, cheeses, fish and pork pies that are available. Alan
