Geoff. Come and say hi you will find everyone really friendly. Steve and Jo who run the series will be there in their chimera. We will be there from about 8am for scrutineering signing on etc. First practice will probably be about 10 or 11 for us as we are the last group out.

It's very easy to get into sprinting. All you need is car, helmet, race suit, gloves and HANS device. That's it. Oh and make a timing strut but that's a doddle.

Be warned though it is very addictive.

You don't need a HANS for a roadgoing vehicle-

The MSA Competitors 2016 Year Book states for FHR’s:

S9.2.1. Throughout practice and Competition, upon exiting from and until returning to the Paddock, when the driver is seated in the vehicle he must wear clothing, helmet and goggles complying with K.9 to 11 or, where appropriate, the specific Class regulations for Drag Races. Overalls homologated to either FIA 8856-2000 or FIA 1986 standard are mandatory. Competitors are required to wear flame-resistant gloves (K.14.3(e)).
An FIA approved FHR device, fitted in accordance with FIA regulations is mandatory for all drivers with the exception of Period Defined Vehicles, Road-going Series Production Cars and Road-going Specialist Production Cars.

The definition for a Road Going Series Production car is as follows:

S11.1.1. Road-Going Series Production Cars – Saloons and Sports Cars produced in quantities of not less than 1000 per annum.

The MSA have agreed that TVRs are series production.
