Burghley Horse Power 2016 - Burghley House
The TVRCC will return to Burghley House in Lincolnshire for its traditional highly successful season opener.
There will be runs around the local countryside on Saturday 9th with of course lunch stops; the main event will be held on the Sunday in the beautiful grounds of Burghley House. There will be plenty for all to do and see including the Fine Food Market, the rare opportunity to stroll through the Private South Gardens which are only open for 2 days each year.
There will be plenty of TVR related trade stands where you will be able to purchase goodies etc. What better than to catch up with friends old & new in the world of TVR.
We have negotiated a rate of £65.00 per room B&B at The Holiday inn, Peterborough West for TVRCC members. Booking is direct with the hotel on 01733 289913. Alternatively, the local pub, The Woodman, has undergone a favourable re-fit; we would recommend pre booking.

I would just like to add i wasn't a member for the first 6 months in owning my TVR 
.. But i have since got a membership and it was quite shock to find out how much stuff i was missing out on, there are loads of events and meets + everything on the last post.. its well worth the spend.

I didn't join the club during my first two TVR's as I simply couldn't or didn't find the time to socialize at car events.
I Never heard of Pistonheads until 32 months ago,I simply loved all that TVR stands for and choose to drive one of their models. I'm sure there are many people driving out the normal type of cars that just don't have the time,or if they do it's spent doing other activities.
Things have changed for me these days where I have plenty of free time,I now really enjoy going to car events especially one's organized by the club.
Glenrobbo has pointed out very good reasons why to join,but I understand it's not for everyone. But If you do have free time and like to spend it at some magnificent stately homes in the company of like-minded folk then it could be for you.

Likewise I agree with all of the above and membership and associated events gives so many more opportunities to get the TVR out. I particularly enjoy going to the various race (Sprint) meetings, at least half a dozen are within 90 minutes from home. The monthly magazine in my opinion is excellent and most of the club members are like minded enthusiastic petrol heads. No, anyone can attend. I seem to remember it's a fiver a car on the gate. )ver 600 cars last year as well as trade stands and some real one-offs. Well worth it. Is this a TVRCC members only event?
So is the Rutland run out the day before - we had a convoy of about 65 cars last year, well supported by the public whose villages we visited.
And the misconception above about the TVRCC being mainly for track days is sooooooo wrong.
The TVRCC used to run track days, non-members were welcomed but had to pay an extra fiver.
This reduced to one track day a year over the last couple of years, and then they were totally abandoned in 2015 after less than 40 people signed up for the 2014 track day, and a number of them weren't even in TVRs.
A number of keen TVR owners still do track days independently of the TVRCC, and discuss their next booking openly on Pistonheads. The best we have ever managed at one event is 10 TVRs. Anyone is always welcome, we are an inclusive crowd and will make your day more fun than it would have been on your own. And anyone who just fancies turning up when we're there can watch for free, or pay around a tenner for a wristband, borrow or hire a helmet and have some passenger rides. Just watch this forum, or the Chimaera one, for upcoming track days on which we are participating. The next one is Hullavington on Friday 11th March, ie a fortnight away.

There is also non-public parking for non-TVRs (with the TVRs), but costs more than the public parking.If you come along in your non-TVR daily driver, you will be directed to the public parking areas. If you come in your TVR, you will be parked in the display alongside hundreds of other TVRs.

Like in all things in life, you get out of it what you put into it. Fancied a drive out the other weekend so looked up the South Staffs group meetings, realised there was one on so had a lovely (but blooming cold) topless 90 minutes drive across. Didn't know a soul there but they all made me welcome and the drive put a smile on my face, despite the brain freeze from the sub 5 degrees temperature.
