Hi all

Anyone else having a problem loading the Google Map to their TomTom or other Sat Nav?

Ive been trying to load it with various programs all morning without success...I guess I'll just follow the noise then! biggrin

I would seriously suggest going low tech and using the printed directions - especially if you are Billy Some Mates and have a passenger to read them to you. It should be big enough print to read at a glance every time you stop at lights if you are on your own.
Other than that, I have kept the route quite simple, but it does double back on you a bit and you WILL intentionally see cars going the other way to you on a number of occasions

Good point. Have already printed off the info and employed the services of Billy Some Mate to give the directions. See you all there!

All booked in to a hotel at West Thurrock for tonight so I guess that's me confirmed. All being well I'll be coming to Brooklands as well, so if someone with know-how could add me onto the table that would be grand as I'm a bit limited to what I can do on this work computer, and I need to get a shift on the get down there!

R7EBO, Tuscan, Hull, Brooklands.

Many thanks

good call.. don't forget to go over Dartford Bridge (M25) from Thurrock and come in on the A2, so as to avoid the (probably closed) Blackwall tunnel..

Thanks very much. I'm at work at the moment so I'll check it out later. I'll have a look at some hotels later this afternoon. Also, here is a link to a short clip my mate filmed as I left work yesterday. Do you think I've gone too far?!?

NORTH EAST LONDON CONVOY TO THE START

For those coming from north east of London (west essex, Cambs, East herts, East Anglia), Lester and I (and Seeby, but he doesn't know it yet!!) will be meeting at the Garden Centre at junction 7 of the M11, usual place just off the east side of the junction, on the A414.
Meeting up at 5 am, departing 5.15 sharp to get to the O2 by 6.00 despite the diversion (if needed).

Come if you can, but if you fancy letting us know it might be useful to know how many we are expecting

I'm meeting up with a Griff owner at Thurrock Services (Esso site next to M25 and Lakeside) at 5:30 tomorrow morning if you fancy a small convoy up with us. Anyone in your hotel will tell you how to get there biggrin

Struggled to get the maps onto my old TomTom 710 - in the end just popped out the SD card and put them on that way.

Looking forward to tomorrow, just been round the car checking levels (and discovered a 2 inch scratch on the bonnet down to the primer, probably from the cover, censored ). Have dug out the walkie talkies - what channel are we on chaps?

Also, and very important this, any toilets en route? Will be needing a cuppa or two and it's got to go somewhere...

Mine makes me need to piss too, maybe the vibration. How might I latch myself onto a convoy? St Albans area? Anybody got room for a Chim?

You can upload it but you won't be able to read it on a TomTom One 3rd Edition - which is what I have. That's TomTom for you! frown Qbee's instructions are very good though. Recommended smile

Sorry, lots going on (just moved house, DIY coming out of my ears, 150 emails a day at the moment), so am out of touch. I am coming around to your gaff please, so will text you in a minute for an address and postcode. Lester didn't know of the arrangements and was out, so I posted. Looking forward to it woohoo
