So Pioneer KRL37 on order from the fine Mr Der arriving soon....thinking of topping it up with some surround sound.

Following the above purchase I probably can only spare £200 max. Is there an obvious choice?

Seen this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DAV-DZ260-Cinema-Syst... which looks good value.

I have a PS3 - would I need the DVD that comes with these home cinema systems? I already have a DVD player in the bedroom so don't really need another unless it is crucial to the set-up.

Cheers guys.

Ed,

TV in a corner position or along a wall ?
Mmmm, almost both. If you imagine a rectangular room, I will be sitting left wall facing bottom right corner of room with the back of the TV on the wall opposite me....if that makes sense.

So along a wall but angled out a bit for a corner effect.

The perfect complement to the PS3 is a Sony HT-SS1300 but it's a bit over your budget.

Available from about £270.
Looks nice, but definitely setting a limit here (went slightly over budget on the TV whistle). The product I linked to has 104 customer reviews at an average of 5 stars so I reckon it can't be bad for a cheapo unit?

I'm sure it'll be fine, it just doesn't have the same connectivity level as a dedicated amp. If you end up wanting to hook up other devices (freesat or sky box for example) then you'll be a bit stumped.
A 3-way Toslink and some cables would do the job though would it not?
