Cutting TV aerial?

I have a lead coming down from the roof but I want another feed into a different part of the house.

Can I cut the lead coming from the aerial on the roof and spur off to another room or will the signal be too weak?

You will be better off hooking the aerial feed into a 2 way amplifier then onwards to the TVs.

Hmm would they all be mains powered as I was looking to cut it on the outside wall?

Depends on the current signal strength, if you have a good signal then splitting it once, using the correct splitter, will be ok, all you can do is try.
