Surround sound delay

Quick question for you.

My surround sound works fine with DVD's and equally well with Sky TV. However, run it with normal digital TV (in-built tuner) and it starts fine, remaining so for about an hour, but after this it starts to suffer a delay and the sound becomes out of sync with the picture.

Why would this happen, and is there anything I can do to avoid it?

probably the tv signal. my humax freeview box does it occassionally

have you tried changing channel and going back again to see if that cures the fault?

Its because modern technology is pants, it will proberbly go right if you switch channels then back again.
