The picture is great and we are happy with our new Sony TV. But.... the sound is thin and very disappointing, so much poorer than the CRT it replaced.
What can I do to improve the sound without resorting to filling the bedroom with cables and speakers?
Thanks in adance for your input.

Have a look at the Q-TV2.

A great little package that fits to the rear of the tv and produces a significant quality boost.

Used it a couple of times now.

Thanks for the info on the Q-tv2, its just a bit too large for the tv in question though!

Do you have any powered speakers of any sort eg BOSE or other ipod dock? Most have an AUX in so you can take sound fro mthe Audio out jacks on the back of the telly and feed in to the dock.

I too have this issue with a 21" flat screen in the Kitchen where amps / cables won't do.

I tried to plug my sound dock in but the Headphone output doesn't have enough juice for the Dock to crank up
Dont you have 'left / right' red and white phono outputs on the back o fthe telly? Use those to a 3.5mm jack in to the dock

The £50.00 might prove to be the stumbling block
