I really mean quite small speakers here.

Any recommendations for these?

Monitor Audi Radius 90

They are very small, but potent.

Nothing like enough info. What listening distance? What amp? What type of music? What sort of room positioning and support is going to be used?

I had some Tablettes some time ago. Stunning stunning treble but a bit bass-shy. IIRC they have grown in size recently.

PMC DB1i or the older DB1+ produce a big sound for their small size. More a traditional styled speaker though, so not as trendy looking as an MA Radius for example.

I think the post above had a wrong link...it's a Sony TV which by no stretch of the imagination produces a good sound for hifi. smile

Everyone else was helpful.
But thank you for your input anyway.

Actually Pupp's post was the most helpful from an audiophile point of view.

Get on hifi wigwam and pick up a pair of castle audio speakers. I picked up a recent mint pair for £20- I own 4 pairs of speakers including monitor audios. These are far nicer to listen to. I can't recommend hem highly enough; noone seems to know them.

I thought Jbudgie's original post was fine and was asking for a recommended shortlist of very small speakers from PHers ~ if you understand and include the complex nearfield/farfield listening distance, amplifier loading, boundary reinforcement 'audiophile' caveats in your opening post you're hardly likely to need speaker advice from here are you ?

How small is really small? I picked up some Focal Sibs a week ago (in the surround pack Sib&Co, with a Cub2 sub). With just two speakers playing in stereo sans sub, they have masses of volume and a good and clear range. Compared to more expensive and bigger stuff they stack up really good.

They are a bit bigger than the mentioned size though, 14x16x30 cm.
