Dynamic mode on G20
Discussion
Chaps,
My Panny G20 arrived 3 weeks ago tomorrow and I'm after a bit of advice.
I have read most people hate the look of dynamic mode, I currently use THX mode for the odd Bluray and Dynamic mode for playing PS3/Xbox360 however I have read indications that dynamic mode is not good for the TV in it's running in stage, my TV has probably had 15 hours use max since owning it.
Is dynamic mode OK to use on a new TV?

Personally I would avoid dynamic at all costs; it just look un-natural.
On top of that, it does in theory increase the likelihood of image retention (image burn in). Gaming is also bad for retention as typically certain elements of the HUD are static. While I don't use my G20 for gaming, I'd just put it into "Game" mode to be safe (IIRC it 'jitters' the pixels to reduce burn in).
For what it's worth, I set up the G20, put it on THX mode, turned off all the image processing options and left it like that on day one. Three months later, and I still feel the image is as close to ideal as I need it; well this side of a V/VT20.
