Right so I have bought the 42g20 Panasonic after much deliberation, watching football last night and the clock and score was retained. Only enough to see it when completely black screen and looking very closely for it. It's now gone after some other viewing and I have turned down the contrast and brightness as suggested by Mr Google.
Is there any thing more I need to do?
Should I not be worried at all?
Will this just be a temporary thing until it calls down? I've seen that it happens more in first few hundred hours of usuage.
Should I stay away from the xbox?
Does switching channels every 10 minutes very quickly help or does it need longer?
As always thanks for any help, loving the set so far bit would really not like to ruin it by carelessness.

Luke.

id stay off the xbox a little, deffo turn the picture settings right down anyway (not silly dark but you dont want anything too bright)
panny's are really good for their lack of IR, but id try and let it run in a bit before any serious gaming sessions.. although i dont think IR is permanent these days in modern plasmas anyway but i'd rather not risk it personally.
if your tv has a low power (eco type) mode i'd whack that up a bit - just turn your room lights low at night to even it out smile

Just dont have it set to Dynamiic. Cinima or game is a much better option.

When xbox is on via component it automatically sets itself to game mode, have read reports that it shifts pixels around a little to minimise problems, but also comes with a timer to show how long the mode has been used for which to me suggests it shouldn't be used too much if a counter is needed. Any knowledge of why the hour counter is present, and how to access it? As the manual tells you about it but doesn't tell you how to look up the figure.
