Hello all,

I've got a Keene IR distribution AMP that relays all my remote control inputs from upstairs in the bedroom, down to the PopcornHour/V+ box downstairs, as well as relaying it from downstairs outside the cabniet to inside the cabinet. For the past year it's worked perfectly, then 2 days ago it stopped working upstairs. Downstairs still perfect.

Through process of elimination I worked out that everything works - the receivers, the cable, the amp, the transmitters, it's purely that when I introduce the joiner (3.5mm jack 2 into 1) that plugs into the single input in the distribution amp it stops only the upstairs working (but, as I say, downstairs still fine). So I buy a new one, still the same problem. But, take the joiner out and upstairs works perfect, downstairs works perfect. But I need to combine them and then when together, upstairs doesn't.

The setup is exactly as keene offer on their website - using the 3.5mm jack 2-into-1 to put two inputs into the amp, and has worked perfectly for 1yr. But it just stopped, with no additions or subtractions to anything around it at all.

I'm now stumped! I've spoken to Keene and they are unsure, because it just doesn't make sense. So I wondered if the good-thinking of PH had any ideas or had come across something similar? I am, simply, baffled.

A small diagram to hopefully explain myself a little more;

Thanks all!
Tony
