Anyone outside Scotland with Sky HD?

I live in Scotland and I am sick of STV! I am considering 'moving' to an English post code to get ITV1 and ITV1 HD. I would still like to be able to see BBC1 Scot, BBC2 Scot and STV (for local news mainly) though. However, I cannot see these on the Sky EPG, but this might be of course due to the fact my Sky box is already in Scotland.

Could someone outside of Scotland look and see if they can receive the above Scottish channel via the EPG please?

BBC1/2 scotland yes- not sure about STV, i'm sure someone will be along in a minute to confirm..

Thanks, but I know that those in Scotland can watch ITV1 but I want to know if those in England can see STV.

On my EPG 971 for BBC1 Scotland., 992 BBC2 Scotland

You can manually add STV

This was the very reason we got Freesat. OH was not happy when we sat down to watch the England football match, only to find our terrestrial Scottish television was not showing it!

To the OP, I'm slightly confused... you live in Scotland so by default your channel 103 gives you STV right ?

You can't get ITV1 HD in Scotland at present, due to contactual arguing I believe. Do you want regular ITV1 HD, the same as in England ?

If so, then get your remote, press "services - 9 - 5 - select - select - select" and that will give you ITV1 HD.

You can only watch it though, you can't pause or record because the box won't let you.

Everything you say is correct. However, I record EVERYTHING so watching ITV1 HD live for me is a no no (sit though ALL of the X Factor!?!)

I am fed up of not being able to watch STV/ITV progs in HD!!
