HDMI Sender Problems
Discussion
I've bought this HDMI sender;
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/Product/39498
and 25m of this cat6 cable to with it;
Features:
• High quality Ethernet Network Cable with two RJ45 Connectors
• Up to 1000Mps / Gigabit Ethernet Speed
• Suite for 10Mbps/100Mbps/1000Mbps network
• Compliance Standards: Compatible with CAT5/e/6, EIA/TIA-568 Category 6
• Wire Construction: CCA - Copper Clad Aluminum (2x4x7, runs up to 150ft)
• Cable conductor = 26AWG
• Type: Patch cable
• Category: UTP
• Connector(s): 1 x RJ-45 - male
• Connector(s) (Other Side): 1 x RJ-45 – male
• Color: Grey
• Features: Gold plated connectors
• Length: 25 Meter
Hooked it all up from my Sky HD box to my LG Plasma, but all I get is the standard def channels.
HD channels just give a no signal warning on the telly.
Any suggestions? Better grade of cable maybe?

The issue won't be with the cable it'll be with the sender module.
You need one with a power supply which will give it a boost.
I tried two of the un-powered ones and neither worked.
Ordered a powered one from Nexxia..

Works a treat - don't waste your time with the un-powered ones.

I use something like that on jobs before and they do need to be powered at the received end.
Did you make up your own leads? If so have you tested or confirmed that your patch leads are wired correctly.
Also I have had it before where the sky box has to be turned on first for it to sync properly with a sky hd box.
