Are they? Or is it just something to stream iPlayer/4OD etc onto.

We have WiFi internet at home, will this do, or is there more to it than that?

I'm thinking of a 32" Sony, stuck on (a bracket) on the wall. I want a tilt/pull out one, but they seem ridiculously expensive in the shops. Will a £25 one from Amazon do?

These are probably all very obvious questions, but the last tv I bought was a CRT jobbie (although it does have built in Freeview).

I bought a 32EX703 for my conservatory and for use as a PC monitor. I just plugged the LAN cable directly in the back of mine and a recent firmware update allows me to watch BBC iPlayer directly on the TV with no computer connected (all done from the remote). There is also 5 on demand, Lovefilm and uTube can be accessed directly too. The picture was a bit 'LCD' at first, but I found that changing the default 'Vivid' mode to settings like the 'Theatre' mode gives much better results. Some of the VOD stuff is quite bloky though, but this is in the encoding and not the fault of the TV really.

As we don't use the conservatory much in the colder months, I plan to swap the TV with my older HD ready 32" that is now in the kitchen/dinning room and use the '703 as a PC monitor. I just bought a basic wall mount from Argos and it fits both TVs perfectly, so it's just a matter of swapping the TVs over and getting the spare TV stand out (they're different). I tried various wall mounts from Argos, including swivel ones, but found that some models weren't very strong and the TV looked crooked once the arm was swivelled out. The second worked fine, but was still a bit bulky for our needs, hence the change to a flat mount. At least Argos let me return the first two I tried (even got a refund as the flat one was cheaper). If you need a link for the second one I'll try to find it and post back. You need to make sure that any mount is VESA 200 (as in the four holes in the TV are 200mm apart) rather than some '32 inch TV' brackets that are only VESA 100 and won't fit.

EDIT: Meant to add that if you only have wifi then you'll have to buy the Sony wifi dongle, which is dear (over £70 IIRC) and no other make will work it seems. If your router is nearby, probably easiest running a cable.
