We're about to pull the trigger on a P42S20B plasma to replace our outgoing 32" Sony CRT which currently lives in the corner. We're looking to maintain the corner placement but the TV stand we have is designed for the Sony and will not suit the plasma. Any recomendations for a unit that will allow the TV to sit back in the corner as much as possible? It only needs to host a Wii, and a Sky+HD box at present but might look at getting a PS3 for BlueRay down the line or at least an upscaling DVD player. Open to ideas for wood or more modern materials but the room is natural browns and creams with a light oak and glass coffee table. Photos welcome of Plasmas in corners. The old photo thread of installs is lacking severely in corner installations.

Room's changed a bit since then (new carpet, curtains removed garish 'brass' from fire) but should give an idea of the placement

Excuse the revellers.

I'm not really looking to wall mount anything. Floor standing preferably.

I bought the 2 shelf black glass unit from Currys when I bought my TV a few years ago; it still looks great and doesn't take up too much space as it's desingned to fit in the corner. Also the 2 shelves mean I can have plenty of AV equipment on there without it looking too over-crowded.

Having said all that there are probably better looking options out there, but it depends how much you want to spend I guess.

Bought a "peerless portland 1100" for our 40" LCD

Not a pur corner unt but fits more than our old 32" CRT did (about a foot further in corner!)

These guys make somw superb stands, Not the cheapest but made in the UK. All cables are hidden in the column at the back including a 4 way power block.

Not trying the hijack this topic or anything but does anyone knows where to find a nice black tv stand with doors.

Ordered a new 42 inch tv to replace the big 30-odd ich CRT and need a new stand for it, but prefer one with doors as that will look a bit neater (and will hide the fact that i've still got my 8 bit NES hooked up to it)...
