Looking at buying a hd tv and after so many recommendations going for the g20 I have sky plus, and do want to pay for sky hd just yet. Is there anyway.of taking the feed from my sky dish before it reaches the sky plus box and splitting it so I have a hd feed into the tv's freesat tune to give me freesat hd?

If so would this noticeably reduce.picture quality and would I still be able to attach a hard drive to use the recording.function?

If not how do I get another feed into the tv's tuner?

Any help greatly appreciated, and have a good day.

No.

You'll have to run another cable from the dish to the television.

Cheers I was worried that would be the case, is this a simple job ie completely idiot proof or should I get someone trained to do it?

If you've already got a quad lnb up there it's relatively simple.

It's relatively simple if you haven't, depends on how much you like ladders really.

Thank-you so much for the info, will probably get someone round to do it.

Cheers again.

Sorry one more question, if I canceled sky would I be able to put the feed from the dish into the tv and use its freesat tuner instead of having it go into the sky plus box?
And would this give me a hd recordable signal?
