I know sweet FA about TV's etc, so I set PH a challenge for my lounge TV set up. There are a couple of very strict rules that must be adhered to. These are:

  • The TV can be no more than 26"
  • I need to be able to connect a PS3, Sky box & Wii into the back of the DVD player / cinema bit
  • I don't want to be trailing wires around the lounge for speakers, so would like wireless speakers if possible
  • I want to be able to change between TV, PS3, Wii & DVD through the DVD / cinema controller only (I don't want to be flicking between different inputs on the TV.
  • Budget. As reasonable as possible. Between £600 - £800 for the TV & DVD / cinema player
I leave myself at the mercy of the PH technical guru's!!!

Why 26" out of interest?

Simply because our house is a cottage with relatively small rooms & neither of us like a TV dominating the lounge.

We have a 26" LCD at the moment & it is plenty big enough for the room.

What wrong with your current TV? What is it?
Do you want surround sound?
The PS3 is a perfectly good DVD player so you don't need an extra one.
I'd recommend an all in one controller to replace the standard one. You will likely struggle to get the control other devices feature working I know I didn't get a good result with any of mine until I got a dedicated all in one (Harmony One, brilliant bit of kit but £100)
