Adding surround sound to my system
Discussion
Hi fellow hi-fi and home cinema bods.
I have a Cyrus 8 vs2 integrated which has been perfect for what need, driving my Celestion A2 speakers. I'd like to add surround to the setup, is there an easy way of adding it on rather than having to replace the 8 vs2? I've thought about running a separate surround system with a pre-out to one of the inputs on the Cyrus but it's a clunky solution. Don't really want another set of speakers at the front either.
I've got a Panasonic S10 42", with a PS3, XBox360 and Sony DVD/SACD player as sources. Any ideas? Budget end of the spectrum as I don't watch enough films to make it worth spending shedloads..

Using an external amp to drive the front L&R pre-outs is a standard setup.
However, what you need to be able to do is fix the output gain on the Cyrus somehow.
Whether you do it via a control system or via the remote or by another method it doesn't matter, it just must go back to the reference point of when you set the system up.
