So, the 42" G20 is gathering dust sat on its stand on a cardboard box ... about time I wall mounted it to the chimney breast so it can catch dust there instead.

There seem to be a million generic mounts available out there.

Is there anything specific anyone recommends?

It doesn't need to be fancy - all I want is to mount it as flat to the wall as possible. I guess the ability to make minor adjustments to get the TV precisely level would be a good idea too.

Only connections to TV are ethernet cable, power cable & single HDMI from amp/receiver (if that makes a difference).

Thanks folks!
Matt

I just googled for mine. I assume most are similar.

It had 3 main pieces a flat 'wall' panel with a built in spirit level that you bolt to the wall and 2 verticals that screw into the back of the telly (43" plasma) the verticals then hook onto the wall panel and you can screw then up to fix in place.

In my case the cables are in the wall and come out via hole in the wall bracket. The back of the TV sits about 2" from the wall, I think you can get narrower ones but don't forget about heat dissipation and cable mounting.

Just be careful, if you mount the TV too close to the wall then you will struggle to get the cables in the back. I have a couple of 'used' mounts if your interested, PM me with your location.
