HI guys, I'm moving over there from Australia soon and want to know if I can bring my Panasonic Viera Plasma TV and HDD recorder over there? I know the plugs are different but are the channel signals different over there? It is PAL over here too. I don't want to bring it over thenfind out it doesn't work.

Hear from you soon!

Should be okay but one way to check if it will pick up UK terrestrial pictures is to look in the list of countries in the set-up/installation menu. If the UK is mentioned then yes it should tune in to local TV.

Has it got a digital tuner built in? The UK is switching off analogue TV signals over the next 2 years.

If not you can buy an external Freeview digital TV box or get a satellite receiver.

I believe Australia is more forward thinking than the UK. Digital tuners have been mandatory in all new TVs for years. That was according to an Oz guy I worked with in 2002. Picking up Freeview (EPG, etc) may be a different matter.

Yeah my TV is a new 55inch Viera and has a built in Digital tuner.

Has anyone on here moved to the UK from Oz and done this?
