Recommended audio stores?

Hi all,

First post in this part of the forum, but I'm looking for some help.

Can anyone recommend some decent audio stores/suppliers?

I'm an ex sound technician from years ago, but I sold my complete kit when we relocated form New Zealand. The other half has just given me permission to put together a starter set up again, so I'm just looking for recommendations on decent places to get kit from (being relatively new to the UK and all).

Some of the stuff I'm looking for is quite specific (Paradigm Minis or Atom monitors) but some of it's more common so I'll consider anywhere anyone can recommend.

If you know exactly what you want why not just pay as little as possible via the interent and get it delivered.

If you want to go to a shop and demo various kit then you need somewhere localish, but you don't say where you are.

The majority of the brands I am after are not online (if anyone can find Paradigm Atoms or PSB Alpha B1's online I'd love to hear) so it's a case of finding some good stores and ringing around...

I don't mind paying shipping hence I'm happy for any store recommendations across the country.

Does that help fill in the odd gap of why the location isn't important

Paradigm you aren't allowed to webtrade.

PSB are one of the brands we have access to however.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? Are you saying I should be able to find these online?

I spent a while last night but kept coming up with miss matched search results and not much useful :-/

Starting to feel like this 'budget system' may not be as easy as I had hoped...

Exactly what my previous experiences had taught me... although apparently they are no longer available in the UK (just heard back from the importer). I'm guttered!

Anyone have any other entry level monitor suggestions?
