Matt - by the same token, what would you recommend for ultra thin versions?

Considering using a Samsung 6510 for an exhibition stand we're building. Needs to take a moderate data resolution (1024x768 VGA).

Any good or should I look elsewhere? The priority is thin-ness and aesthetic really.

If its all about the case and not the performance, the Samsung is as good as any. It's their USP after all...

I just ordered a TX-P42G20 from PixMania and got a £14 + 3% discount through Quidco. Comes in at £785 delivered.

Incideltally, PixMania use Currys as the 'delivery partner'.

Couldn't find a better deal anywhere else (please don't tell me there is one, as I've just spent the money).

On a 37" set?

How far are you sat from it?

As I'd wager, unless you've had an eye upgrade, it will be outside the distance that you'd notice the difference...

Afraid my eyes are standard and not too good.

I sit about 7-8 ft away so (with glasses on) I think I might notice the difference.

Current TV 720p,watched a nature BR on it then on a friends 1080p and pretty sure it was sharper.

8ft from a 37" set you'll gain no benefit at all.

I picked a TX-P42X20 up from Comet for £449.
Delighted with it.
