x20 series "deal" ?

Hi forum,

Local to me Panasonic shop has a "package deal" expiring today (30th June) which I want to run by you guys.

50" Panasonic x20 plasma (TX-P50X20B) f0r £849 to include -

Panasonic blu-ray disc player (DMP-BD45) "free" worth £159 apparantly
Glass stand "free" worth £199 apparantly

I posted on here recently regarding an LG 50" that was on offer in Currys then realised that I still needed the stand and read on here the general high praise for Panasonic

You're paying for the stand when compared to typical prices, giving you the BR player for free.
If it includes a 5 yr warranty, then might be still worth it, but if not, then for £650 you could buy from say John Lewis (5 yr as standard) and then buy a much cheaper stand.
If you've no BR movies, then the free player won't be missed.

Forgot to mention - yes it includes a Panasonic 5 year warranty

As previously - if you feel the stand is worth the £200, or you want to think of it as £100 for it and £100 for the BR Player, then grab it while you can.
