TV above a storage Heater?
Discussion
It is recommended not to mount the TV abouve a heat source but thats about as much detail as you get, the main thing is not to mount the TV in a position where it is in the direct heat stream. The TV is designed to work within a particular temp range and if this is exceeded then its likely it will fail early.
Why not build something that would look like a shelf that is also "floating" just below the TV and have it stick out just a few more inches further then the TV. Build it from two thin peices of wood and then some sort of material which will not conduct heat very well.
Sort of like a heat shield but you could put some ornaments on it below the TV or just leave it plain and paint it the same colour as the wall and no one needs to know that it is to protect the TV from the heat...could actually look pretty cool if done right.
