Hi,
Hoping to watch Le Mans on Eurosport at w/e without waking everyone.
With that in mind I tried to connect the Sky+ box to the Freesat dish I have set up in the outside office to no avail.
Does this mean that the Freesat system points to a different satellite than Sky does?
They both work attached to their respective dishes.
Thanks and yours in ignorance

They both use the same Sat. It should work. Have you got two signal cables at the Freesat position? If only one, have you tried in both inputs of the Sky+ box?
Hi, yes the freesat has a recorder so the set-up matches the the Sky installation (i.e. two signal cables).Edited by cjs on Thursday 10th June 09:18
I have tries both the HD and vanilla Sky+ boxes on the freesat dish to no avail. The Freesat decoder (Humax) works fine on the Sky dish.
Do the Sky decoders require a stronger signal than the freesat decoder?
