Nope, no other choice apart from the VT20 if your budget will stretch to £2k. Even if you don't need the 3D, the improved phophors and better blacks will enhance your 2D viewing experience, and you'll be 'future-proofed' in case 3D does take off in a big way.

Samsumg makes some nice panels now, but build quality is a bit suspect.

There is a V20 also, not entirely sure when its out but its basically the VT20 without the 3D, or from another point of view a G20 with the Pana/Kuro Engine.

Should find the V20 out now. We've had ours . Awesome panel.
