I might be a bit thick, but whats the difference between these?

Also, is there any difference in quality to Sky HD? Or are they all the same?

I have Sky+ and fancy watching the World Cup in HD. Which is the best option?

Freesat is received via a Satellite dish. Freeview is via your aerial. You can use your existing dish if you go down the freesat route. For freeview you need to check what HD channel you can receive in your area at the moment.

Nice one thanks. I take it Freesat HD uses the same Satelite as Sky? (i.e. I don't have to move the dish?)

Yes. You wont need to move the dish. Have you got a HD ready TV? Tomorrow I'm going to pick up a Panasonic G20 which has freesat HD and Freeview HD built in. For exactly the same reason as you are wanting to switch - The World Cup!

Yeah already got TV, but just checked and cannot get freeview HD til 2011, so Freesat HD it's gonna be!
