Panasonic DMR-BS750 PVR

I'm thinking of replaceing the £35 a month Sky HD subscription with FreeSat HD via a Panasonic DMR-BS750. I'll also be replacing the PS3 (which I never play games on) to semi-fund it.
The only thing I ever watch on Sky is 24, Lost & Strike Back so if I give 1 months notice on Sky then I'll be able to watch the end of these series.
Has anyone got any views on the Panny PVR? What's it like in everyday use? The menu looks a bit basic compared to Sky but as I'll save a significant chunk every month it'll be worth it.
