Help!

Slightly confused with the Panasonic range..

looking for a top quality Panasonic with FreeViewHD..

What is the difference between V/G/S ranges?

I understand that the TX-L37V10B has freeSat and not FreeView HD.. do Panasonic do a FreeViewHD version?

cheers

At 37 you'd be better off with the plasma.

Hi Plotloss,

would love to, but the TV is for the inlaws. They tend to watch alot of tv but generally only a few channels. these channels have ticker tapes at the bottom or logos on the top corner.

Are the new Plasma TVs better? My pioneer does suffer from alittle screen burn but not overly. Though i don't get much time to watch TV.

cheers

Firstly - Pioneers always were poorer in image retention than Panasonics, although the Kuros using Panny glass shouldn't be.
Secondly - it's precisely because of tickers on the bottom of the screen, you should be concentrating on Plasma technology, not LCD (even with LED backlighting).

So, as Matt says - 37X20 is the one to plumb for, although don't rule out the 42" totally.

Great screen. Had our first stock delivered last week. Only slight caveat is the bezel. Very strange. Reminds me of the old Hitachi plasma range.

Good to hear that. How does it rate against it's rivals in that class would you say ?

The G20 plasma [ min 42"] is still slightly sharper but if 37" is the maximum size to play with then to answer your question, pretty good. Still havent seen the new V20 series yet however. This is Panasonic first foray into the world of LED backlit tellies and I think theyve scored a winner! However jury out on the bezel!
When you see it in store ask to see SD telly as well as HD
