Try as I might I really can't figure the difference. Have looked for a comparison tool but can't seem to find one. Can anyone give me an overview of what the differences are likely to be?
It seems I can get LCD or Plasma, in 42" but as above there are X, G, S versions.

X is 720p
G is 1080p
S is a G without the Freesat Tuner.

I got the S10 42" as I didn't need the Freesat tuner. Been very, very pleased with it for the money!

Also got the S. Extremely happy with it although there are times i'd wish i'd got the freesat tuner though.
Although i expect built in Freeview HD would be the way forward sooner or later.

Thanks thumbup

So the G with the new Freeview/Freesat HD tuner built in would be the way to go then?

V adds the Kuro engine plus some other bits (this is what we generally recommend) over and above the G

If you can be assed with freesat (e.g putting a satallite dish on the side of the house) then go or it.

Freeview HD will only require your normal TV aerial although wont give as many HD channels and its not built into any of the current models yet as far as I'm aware.

Ah - forgot V. So is that the Daddy? Only buy a TV once in a blue moon so may as well get the best.

Any advise on where to buy? Amazon looks quite cheap wink

No, there won't be a dish going up, Freeview HD will do when it comes to my area. I'm guessing the HD tuner will work with SD until then.

Not a great TV watcher TBH, more movies on Blueray etc.

[pedant]Look out for the number of HDMI sockets as well, IIRC there are differences between the G and S. Just if you're thinking of having a Blu-Ray, Sky+, XBox and PS3 or whatever.[/pedant]

No worries - still damn confused myself. I think I'll be going for a 42" V model.
