I'm considering gettting a TV for my kitchen, but I'm on a fairly limited budget. It would be used when cooking (obviously) and when using the cross trainer and exercise bike that sit in the dining area (I know, sounds wierd). There's no aerial socket so I'm not expecting to get live TV signals. A transmitter from our Sky box is a possibility, as is an upscaling DVD player.

After seeing some Technika sets in Tesco I got the green light to start looking around. I'd never normally consider that brand, but they seem fairly well priced and well specced, including a built-in DVD player.

Naturally I'd like to get good value for money, so I've set a budget of £300 max. I can't justify spending more.

I thought that as I probably won't be using a tuner, a PC monitor with HDMI and an upscaling DVD player might fit the bill. Wall-mounting is a must, so a bracket will need to be specced too.

Any thoughts on the best solution?
