Airport Express or Squeeze Box

Hi all,
I have a Naim system at the moment but my little boy is taking to much of an interest in it at the moment so i am looking at different options.
I have tried a Airport Express from my iMac directly into the Nait 2 and to be honest it is not bad, however it has been suggested to me that a DAC with improve this.

The thing is the express costs about £70 then i will need a DAC of around £200. Also what would you all recommend as a good budget DAC
Or
I could take the option of the Squeezebox duet. This would work out slightly cheaper but which would sound better.

Assuming the same source material/amp speaker set up, the deciding factor will be the quality of the DAC in the Airport or Squeezebox.

If you put a DAC between then it's a case of what interface you prefer.

I am looking at the Beresford Caiman.
Just changed my iMac library to Apples lossless for better quality.
