Today I replaced my Panasonic 37X10 with a 46G20 as the smaller set was just too small in practice.
The decision to change was not an easy one, as SWMBO was quite insistent on the following points:-
"There's nothing wrong with the one we've got..."
"It's a waste of money!"
"We don't need a bigger one."
...and so on.
So, after taking the above under advisement, the new set was fired up this afternoon.
In for a penny and all that - in went the Bluray of Avatar - fully expecting a bigger, but ultimately similar picture quality to the outgoing set.
WRONG!!!
Straight out of the box the picture just blew me away - so much more depth and detail. The colours. The sharpness. The sheer quality of the image.
Wow. Just wow.
It was truly one of those revelatory moments when you feel the need to dig out long forgotten discs just to see the difference.
Even the Missus had to grudgingly admit to being impressed.
This could be a LONG weekend
