I know that there is a lot of debate on here about wireless music systems

I just wanted to say that anyone considering a Sonos - just do it.

I’ve been debating for ages what to get – the Squeezebox seems to be recommended a lot on here.

I’m no techie and I wanted something simple and easy to use and set up.

I bought:

2 x ZP90 (one linked to my kitchen stero and one into my home cinema system in the lounge)
1x ZP120 (with speakers for the bedroom)
1xS5 (for one of the spare rooms)
1xcontroller 200 (sexy touch screen jobbie)

Easy peasy to set up – just plug it in and it works out of the box. I now have 4 zones all up & running and controlled by the iPhone like Controller – I have pointed it to iTunes on my PC and it has all the album art etc on the controller

I just need to download the rest of my CD’s into Apple Lossless format now – may take a while!

Also, you can use your iPhone and / or Blackberry as a controllers, so you don’t need to spend money on more remotes.

Anyway – just my 2ps worth if anyone is thinking of getting one.

Just a small point. we had our first issue last week with the amount of intenet limit that a client had...If you get my english!

Their allowance was only 3GB a month and the ISP had reduced their speed to 128k as usage had gone over the limit

I called Sonos and was told that services like Napster use 65kb per hour and radio via Sonos uses 45kb per hour. So if your allowance is only small then might be an idea to increase.

Otherwise its a great set up

Good shout - thanks, I hadn't even thought of this. I have business grade broadband at home, so fingers crossed this won't be an issue, although I will check today.

Yesterday, I had Napster Streaming in 1 room, a radio station in another, a lossless track in another and a normal MP3 track in the 4th zone. All worked fine with the bandwidth available and 'mesh' network - very impressed

Have a rummage around in the Napster playlist section. Some great tunes and no need to do anything!

I also have the analogue input on my system wired up and use the Sonos to put the audio from the TV to the rest of the house if I'm moving around allot and listening to the news. The only down side to Sonos that I have found is that I will all ways want more zones.
