I'm just finishing off my new setup and have a slight problem.

I have had power sockets put in behind my TV and going to channel the power lead for a projector screen down the wall to plug in behind the TV also however the screen has a European plug and needs an adapter.

This means there is not enough space to plug it in without bringing the tele out another few cm.

Is it possible to cut the plug and fit a UK one? (If so, is it easy?)

Thanks in advance!

yes it should be easy the wireing colours should still be the same, there may not be an earth, what is the connector on the other end or is it wired into the telly as it could be worth finding a replacement lead if you aren't confident.

The other end is hard wired to the projector screen. The plug is just a two pin plug a bit like this:

Can I do it without an earth?

ETA - ALso is it possible to make the wire longer? Would you use some of the plastic blocks or do you need something more 'proper' ?
Please excuse the lack of knowledge however have nearly finished!! Just need to hide this last wire!!!!!

If it only has 2 wires then it dosent require an earth, make your connection where you have acces to it like on top of your projector (even if it means cutting its mains lead down for neatness), dont bury the join into the wall.
