Blu-ray problems

The other night I purchased and watched Inglorious Basterds on BD. Good film liked it a lot.

The inlaws then came to babysit and fil said he'd like to see the same. Disc in, get the universal splash screen then nothing, PS3 crashes and I have to power it off to get back to the menu.

Disc looks fine (no marks or fingerprints) all my other BD work fine as do all my games. PS3 is up to date. I'm going to see if any mates can play the disc.

Anyone experienced this, any ideas?

Try unplugging the network cable before playing the disc.

Right, changed the PS3 to ask permission to access the net and now it's working.

Good this technology isn't it!
