GF just got me one for my birthday smile
HDMI from TV to Amp.
ALL other inputs should be fed via this right?
So Sky HD goes into HDMI 1
So PS3 goes into HDMI 2
Wii goes into VID 1 - RCA (red/white/yellow)

Turn TV on, select HDMI
Turn on AV receiver select HDMI 1 and get SKY...good
Select HDMI get PS3...good
Select VID 1... get nothing... why would that be?

Haven't properly played with it yet, or rung Richer Sounds....just thought whilst I'm at work I'd ask you people... thumbup

I've got this exact amp and also a Wii.

If I remember rightly I had to go into the video settings for Vid1 and set it to Component1 before the Wii would display. Although since you're using RCA you may need to select a different option there - but something in there should sort it.

Checked all the settings, and VID1 (and 2 on the front) was already set to composite....so I'm still none the wiser why it won't go...through the amp and to the telly via HDMI, like my last amp allowed...

I cant remember my amp model number, I have a feeling it is this one. On mine I have a HDMI and RCA cable to the TV so I can see analogue signals to fix this problem. I would be interested to see if this could be fixed as it's a bit annoying to always be changing TV inputs. I guess it depends if the amp has an anaglogue to digital convertor built in.

Fairly sure that amp doesnt have format conversion.

So if you're feeding it HDMI and CVBS

Then you'll need to utilise both the HDMI and CVBS monitor outputs and corresponding inputs on the television.

This is correct (from an owner of the same amp)

Right so, feed the yellow, red/white from the Wii/video camera to the amp, then feed yellow only to the TV right?
Video gets displayed on tv
Audio goes through surround speakers...

Ditto and ditto. Just plug the wii into the telly.
