After spending a bit of time looking at reviews for a decent TV to use with the PS3 and general viewing, I decided on the LG 42LH4000 which is a HD 42" LCD screen. So far its proven to be a pretty good buy and the issue of darks not showing well on an LCD have proven to be a very minute issue in my case.

Anyway, I have noticed recently on some TV programs that there appears to be a visible aura of pixelation around the border of a moving object, mainly a person moving against a background. I can't say I notice it on anything other than a moving person, something such as a car.

Is there a setting in the TV to avoid this or is it the quality of the program being shown.

Freeview?

It's down to the format of the video signal and the film itself not being overly forgiving of a 'poor' quality input.

If this is on Sky and you're using a SCART lead, check its outputting RGB.

Thanks Plotlosss. It is Sky+ and I only see it on certain programmes. I'm sure the setting is RGB, but will check when home later.

If it is input dependant would going to Sky HD help? Even just for the non HD channels.
