Sky plus box usb port

Hi Guys appologies if this has been asked before but only normally go on the car forums.

On the front of the sky box you have a usb port, can I use this to copy recorded programmes onto ?

And is it an input or output ?

I want to change my sky box but copy the recorded programmes onto the new box if I can without the hassle of copying to dvd or video at real time speed.

Can it be done ?

For the moment it has no functionality except you can use it to charge USB devices.

And keeping them cool using a laptop cooler.

Except the checky Sky / Amstrad B*stard have turned it off in their latest SKY HD box.

Now how do I keep them cool, when clients don't want to see them!
