Thinking of getting some speakers for outdoor use. Back of my house is single storey so I have an eve that I will be mounting the under for direct rain protection.

Anyone have any good suggestions? Budget is about £100 to £200 but not sure what is about so any useful links and things to consider.

Mainly will be used for filling in background for BBQ's and piping the F1 to the garden when it's all a bit slow and I've given up to do the gardening.

Cheers,

Most big names do them JBL, Bose etc etc however I would probably go and have a look at these

http://www.turbosound.com/showroom/impact35/index.... about £80.00

We use turbosound stuff at work and its excellent.

I'd also recommend the monitor audio's and they're not expensive. The other alternative which may take more work is to recess some speakers into walls externally if possible. We do this when the customer wants a cleaner finish using SpeakerCraft Accufits which are 70mm deep with a protective casing on the rear. http://www.kinozuhause.de/images/img_speakercraft_...

You just need to silicone the wall around the recess before you install the speakers and they'll be fine. They also have a lifetime guarantee!

on a similar line, id liek to fit some outside speakers to an open garden building , but have the cd player in the main house, without runihng wires.. any views on a wireless way of doing this? other option is to fit some speakers than just take out a portable stereo and run them off of that, but cant see that having the output to drive them that well....
