At the moment we have a bog standard VBox, and we also have a HDD DVD recorder thing, with the recorder we have, we can record to disk, or to the hard drive and we can also pull stuff off it to put on a memory stick to put in the computer (or can move stuff from the computer to a memory stick, put that in the DVD thing and play it)
Anyway, we are thinking at the moment of getting a V+ box, which I beleive you can record onto, but is there anyway of moving what's been recorded? Either to put it on a dvd or memory stick, or is it on the hard drive only?
I'm not all that technical, so non jargon language only please
Many thanks

I don't know if there is a fancy way of doing this - but if not you connect a DVD recorder to the scart output, press record on the DVD and play on the V+ box and away you go.
Basically it's no further forward in terms of technology than the old school tape to tape copies you did, except you don't even get high speed dubbing.

Dobbo is correct - you have to use the archive function on the v+. the limitation is not a technology problem, it is to do with the content providers limitations. The v+ box has both USB and eSata ports, but both are disabled in the uk. Well, the USB port can be used to charge your iPod, but that's about it.
