Sky+ -- Change to two 'normal' boxes

I've currently got sky+ as part of a multiroom setup. The sky+ box is dead, so I was wondering if I can use the shotgun cable to feed two seperate normal boxes? I was thinking of using one with the sky card, and one without a card to just get the free to air channels.

Will this work? Or am I over simplifying things?

yes should work fine, each cable will have its on LNB on the dish.

Works fine, have ditched my +box and am now running a normal sky box and a Humax HD freeview box.

Whats wrong with the + box? I should have a few in storage if your interested. They've not been selling that well lately.
