I have recently moven into a new place and it had a decent setup including:

a 5 speaker 1 sub mission speaker system (one under the tv, 2 3 foot floor speakers and 2 wall mounted rear speakers.

a Marantz amp and dvd player to control it all.

any good?

They sound decent

Since we moved in we have added a hd projector screen and ps3 to the setup too!

Are you happy with the sound?

If yes, then why ask?

If no, what is it lacking?

I was recently given a car, it's about 3ft tall and 16ft long and has a black steering wheel.
Is it any good?

Makes about as much sense as the OP.

If you haven't heard of either of them then the chances are whatever you buy to replace them will be worse...

Mossion has a great name, IMo they've lost their way a bit in the 5.1 area and gone a bit cheap and commercial, still quality stuff compared to some.

Marantz was middle of the road good for low end gear too.

(and by low end gear I mean stuff that doesnt cost more than your car).

I've got a Marantz / Mission combo downstairs and I find it lush - in fact it isn't getting replaced until it breaks.

PM66KI-Sig Amp, CD63Mk2 KI-Sig CD Player, 733i speakers btw.

Same amp as I have - great piece of kit, when I saw one up for £85 I had to do it!

OP both manufacture excellent value kit generally.

Mission and Marantz are both well established names who make decent kit in the 'normal consumer end' of the market i.e not stupidly expensive, exclusive or designer. Sounds like you have a good set up, so don't worry about changing. Just enjoy

Don't know about mission, but I paid £40 for a 2nd hand Marantz cd player deck about 10 years ago. Used daily and I still get a good sound (through a sony amp no less).

So as everyone else said its good quality kit, don't bother replacing it.
