Hello,

I have not brought a music system for 11 years, so when I walked into a shop and asked to see mini systems with 3 or more CD charger I was quickly shone the door.

Now I have done some research and I reckon I have picked a few which would do me, but does any of you have one? What is your opinion? Is there any others I should be looking at?

Marantz M-CR502 - £400
Denon D-M37DAB - £300
Cambridge Audio One - £350

I don't have room for a full decent sets of separates, so a mini system is the way forward, and I don't need speakers as mine are just perfect at 40W.

Any advice would be wonderful.

Denon DF107 either with the Denon Speakers - about £400

Or £330 - and get some decent small bookshelf speakers

Actually - the Denon speakers sound fine

Wow this looks must better than the systems I have been looking at, and as my last system was denon, I have the perfect speakers for them.

Cheers for suggesting this one.

Do consider getting a dedicated set of speakers rather than the Denon ones, I've had denon mini-systems for 15 years and the speakers are the only 'weak' component. Tannoy Mercury Custom F1's (less than £100) or Wharfdale 9.1's (~£100) complement these systems wonderfully and improve the sound twofold.
I'd heartily recommend the Denon systems though. Nice and stylish and a great sound at the price.

Thanks for the suggestion, all the shops I have been in have suggested the tannoy one, but I just throught that was to get more money, seems like everyone else also thinks these are very good speakers for the price.

yes

I have Tannoy F1 customs. I also looked at getting a Mini system (denon, onkyo) at that kind of price, but in the end I bought a NAD C315 to go with the Tannoys and I'm very happy. Takes up marginally more room and more plugs but thats about it.

Wharfedale Diamond 10.1s are incredible speakers, but probably a little above budget
