After getting a boil wash with the duvet cover the remote for the bedroom tv is kaput.

This is the one listed for my TV Philips 32PF5520D

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

This one looks exactly the same but its half the price but doesn't list my TV it lists the 32PF5521D ?? Is there really a difference does anyone know?

Yep did that - it worked for a couple of days after now its not working at all. I should add that is got battered and melted a bit too and is now held together with sellotape so does really need replacing.

Pony up for the one listed as suitable for your TV, or buy a cheap one for all one.

These do copy remote for that set for around £10, its not listed on the site so you will have to phone them for the correct one, i know they do them because we have about a million of them at work wink

But the all for one will need to be programmed from the original remote which isn't working??

The basic OFA's have most of the codes needed to control the TV.
I'd imagine there's not much other than volume/channel/mute/standby that you use, and the menu ones.
