bit of an off-topic request, as this forum tends to be looking at the "best" solution for a TV /HC setup. I'm looking to be as cheap as possible!

My Daughter wants a TV / DVD in her bedroom, we got her one from Asda a couple of years ago (a CRT for about £60) and the DVD player has stopped working, also that was analogue only and she wants to be able to watch CBBC in her room.

One options is to buy her an external DVD and a Freeview STB, but the TV only has one scart meaning there would need to be a scart switcher, and it would be messy with all the interconnect wires.

Second option - an LCD TV with built in DTTv and DVD. I've found this one for £109.99; it's a refurb, but comes with 12 months warranty. I can't find anything cheaper than this, but then I may be looking in the wrong places. Does anyone know of any cheaper deals?

Thanks in advance

Andy

So long as either the DVD player or the Freeview Box has a twin scart setup you can daisy chain to the Telly. For example yif the Freeview box has two SCART's then plug the SCART from the DVD into the IN Scart socket on the Freeview box then plug the Out socket into the telly.

Richer Sounds has 19 inch LCD TV's in stock (Sharp/Samsung) for around £150. Bear in mind, DVD player not included...

A friend bought a TV from ASDA using the justification that it came with a ridiculously long warranty - 5 years or so I think. You might still be covered!
