Haven't 100% decided yet but at the moment I'm thinking the mordaunt short alumni in gloss black, but I am open to suggestions.
I'm tempted by some Mordaunt Short speakers, but I was told that they don't match up too well to an Onkyo amp. But a Denon amp would match them well.Onkyo amp with: Q Acoustics, Acoustic energy, KEF, tannoy Mercury F series speakers.
Richers are doing a package with the 607 and the alumni's together and I have read a few reviews/forums which say they are a good system together but have no personal experience of them together hence why i still haven't got any speakers yet, it's only taken me 6 months to decide on the onkyo so maybe I'll have some new speakers for the summer

Can anyone confirm whether Mordaunt Short Alumni speakers would match with a SR607 or not? I'm in the same position as the OP, chosen the amp but not yet sure about the speakers...
What's the best £500 to £700 set that will pair well?

The Kefs work a treat with the 607 and that is a great price you have. Is it the SE verison with the HTB2 subwoofer or the K2 version you have seen?

Absolutely, I have this setup at home, never get tired of listening to it and even the wife who insisted it wasn't worth it now agrees that it's a great setup.Nick
