Chaps,

TV in the lounge is playing up so a change looms.
Its a large room so we have decided on a 46".
I worried about the latest gizzmo but wanting something nice.

Here goes
1. LCD or Plasma.
2. If Plasma are the early screen burning issues sorted.
3. Hz. What's that all about, I have been told 200 to go for.
4. Makes. I have 2 32" LG LCD's ealsewhere, are the bigger screens o'm

Ta in advanced

Panasonic Plasma.

That's all you need to know. Any of the current range will do.

Well G V or Z ideally. 46G10s are available at£999. I have seen the 46S10 (no NeoPDP display) at £799.

Having bought a 46in G10 myself, I won't recommend it - there are too many problems associated with that panel.

I then opted for the 50in G10 which in my opinion is a much better panel, the colours are much richer! (before anyone says it, yes, the settings were exactly the same and it was placed in exactly the same position).

Check out the AV forum, very informative!

All I will say is avoid Sony LCD's like the plague. I watched one at the weekend (46" - not sure on model but 2 years old) and it was woeful. Pixellation everywhere and terrible blacks and smearing. Was on Sky HD as well. Nowhere near as good as my ol' faithful 42PX60/37PX70 smile

Everything I have read points to a panny G10 or G15. (Apart from one).

Panny brings out new sets in February and the replacement is the G25. As expected it will be a lot more money.

I am planning to leave it a few weeks and hopefully pick up a G15 and a knock down.

Many thanks chaps for taking the time to assist, much appreciated.
