If the Denon is a current model, then it'll have HDMI inputs and at least 1 output, thus the way to connect it all would be:

Bluray player ---HDMI LEAD---> Denon AV amp ---HDMI LEAD---> TV

The HDMI connection will pass through the video and process the audio.

Connect your TV to the 1910 with an optical lead for the sound. This will be better than Phono.
Connect the bluray player to the amp with an HDMI and then the amp to the TV with another HDMI as mentioned.

All of my recent hi fi purchases on ebay and it's gone well. I'd recommend looking for some missions so they have a chance of matching the timbre of the fronts. Sub is less important in terms of matching. It may still work out to a similar cost as the cheaper set, but will sound an awful lot better with 'proper' speakers.
